From Concept to App Store: Building DOHO, an Emotional Wellness App

DOHO Labs came to Tenafor at the idea stage, with a clear vision but no built product: an emotional wellness app offering short, guided "rituals" — combining breathwork, sound, and reflection — to help users reset during moments of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. Getting from concept to a real, usable app meant solving for:

• No existing codebase, infrastructure, or technical foundation to build on
• A need for an engaging, mobile-first experience covering mood check-ins, guided sessions, and progress tracking
• Cloud infrastructure that could support content delivery, user data, and app functionality at launch
• A full path to market across both major app stores, each with its own submission and review requirements

Tenafor served as the end-to-end engineering partner for DOHO's MVP, owning the product from first build to public release:

• Built the core Flutter mobile app, covering the full experience: mood check-ins across a defined set of emotional states, guided ritual sessions, weekly challenge routines, and a personal journal for tracking emotional growth over time
• Designed and deployed the cloud infrastructure supporting the app's content and data layer
• Handled the complete release process, including app store preparation, submission, and publishing to both the Apple App Store and Google Play
• Delivered a single, cohesive codebase and infrastructure setup that DOHO Labs could build on as the product grows

Tenafor took DOHO from an early-stage concept to a live, dual-platform mobile app:

• A fully built and shipped MVP, live on both iOS and Android
